Tiny home

Tiny homes are usually under 400 square feet. They come in many forms – on wheels, stationary, ready-made or custom-made. Advantages of tiny houses include affordability, sustainability and freedom/mobility. Challenges include zoning laws, building laws, access to services and financing.

One of the main environmental benefits of tiny houses is that they require less materials to build, and less energy for electricity, heating and cooling.

Greenhouse gases are gases that are mostly made of carbon dioxide. Tiny houses can help fight the amount of greenhouse gases by using less materials and natural resources such as wood, stone.

A carbon footprint is the total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions caused directly and indirectly by a person, organization, event or product.

It is calculated by summing up the emissions resulting from each phase of a product or service’s life (material production, production, use and end of life).

I chose these resources because they provide full heat and cold, are waterproof, and can be easily found and recycled.

My resources promote sustainable living because they are suitable for any environment, hot or cold, and they protect against water.

What surprised me throughout the various components of this project is that all of the components are practically effective, and make sense in real life.

My questions moving forward about sustainable living are why tiny houses? After all, there are many other reasons that can cause progress regarding sustainable living. The second question is why, do we need to create dama, when everything can be made a reality? Use these ideas, and make them a reality.

When I think about my learning and work throughout this project, I am most proud of how realistic it was and can help in real life.

I think if I were to do this project again, the changes I would make would be thinking more outside the box, in the sketches I would do them without erasing and with more precision. This is how I think I can improve my project.

Where I ran into a struggle was when I was trying to check for reliable building materials, and what I did was start checking other sites, until I came to the same conclusion, which I should put into the project.

My floor plan came out 36.25M^2 and I think it was very good.

One point of view turned out quite nicely, it is relatively symmetrical.

My budget came out with a couch, a table, a coffee table, and a bed.

The mathematical calculations were quite small, such as the calculation of the windows, the calculation of the whole house, and the calculation of the rooms.

One last thing, I really enjoyed doing all of this. I hope there will be more projects like this. And that’s all I can add.
